Darker than BLACK 2

I haven't seen this series yet. is it any good?
From what I saw, typical BONES fanfare, too much dialogue, a lot of information and little explaination, fight scenes were OK. I'll finish it off dubbed.

Starts of great for six episodes, where no information is provided but the episodic stories excellence keeps it going, as well as the introduction of cool characters and flashy action, but it then starts to go downhill. The dark, mature vibe gets tossed aside by a comedy episode, the episodic stories drop in quality and, like always with Bones, very little information about what's going on is provided.

It's still worth owning - I have both volume 1 & 2 pre-ordered to support Manga - but it isn't an amazing series. Top draw in production values, as always with Bones, and it has Yoko Kanno's music, but it has serious flaws elsewhere.

The first series was solid enough, but flawed as Aion says. I really liked the style of the animation and concept of contractors. It's a shame it didn't take it all somewhere more interesting.

Still, I always figured a sequel would be worthwhile. If they can expand the character development a little more, throw away the sillier comedy aspects and go for a more cohesive over-arching narrative it could be potentially excellent.

Fullmetal Alchemist, Scrapped Princess, Wolf's Rain are also typical Bones. Guess I'll give this a try....
Who am I kidding? I was going to buy this even if it sucks, simply because the OST is from Yoko Kanno. If the series is any good, then it's a plus =)

All three of those titles are also better than DtB.
I rate these three very high as well. Scrapped princess is a gem in the rough. Fullmetal Alchemist is considered one of the greatest animes of all times and Wolf's Rain is absolutely gorgeous and the soundtrack is also something else.

I don't expect DtB to be as epic as those titles I've mentioned, but I expect it to be at least an enjoyable series.

In that case, you won't be disappointed. :) If nothing else, DtB is a fun show to watch that passes time well.

I'm excited about watching the first series but will probably wait until it comes out as an entire boxset. It makes me more excited because there will actually be a sequel. When it comes to anime series, that's gotta be a good thing.
