Yeah, it's about the 9 circles of hell rather than the 7 sins. It's kinda similar, but I doubt FMA actually helped at all with the idea, especially since it came from something done times before animation was even invented.Sure, you have Lust, Gluttony, etc but they're homunculi - [spoilerinline]human-made [/spoilerinline]personifications of (in FMA's case) a sin. The 9 cirles are actual area within hell with their own daemons and archdaemons. I know Gluttony became [spoilerinline]this huge bloated festering freak in the movie[/spoilerinline], but he was no daemon. [spoilerinline]Just a uncontrolable freak.[/spoilerinline]
