Cyborg 009 on Play.com

The first volume of Cyborg 009 is now available to pre-order at Play.com. The disc will be released in the UK by Columbia Tristar on the 30th January 2006; no further details are known at this time.

looks interesting but are they releasing the whole series because the us only has a few episodes released. also do you think this could be a sign of a tv/sky release of the series.

About time they got around to this! They advertised it on one of their DVDs (Tokyo Godfathers, I think) and the nothing for a long time.

Hopefully they'll get back onto releasing Astro Boy too at some point as they cancelled it a while ago.

both this and astro boy would be great for one of the kids sky channels like toonami and jetix, maybe the dvd release is linking into a tv deal (yes i know astro boy has been on bbc 1 but i think it would fit in better with toonami or jetix, programs are often on both terrestial tv and another sky channel).

the manga of cyborg 009 was the prize in one of the manga night and there are lots of cyborg 009 parodies in comic party i need to see this
