Cowboy Bebop help

I really like the look of this and everyone seems to like it. Just wondering about the film, saw it for £5.99. Should I have seen the series before the film?

Not neccesarily, but it does help. It doesn't contain any massive spoilers or anything, but it also doesn't take the time to introduce the characters in the same way the series does. Personally, I'd pick it up for the cheap, and watch it after the series (or between eps 22 and 23, which is when it's set).

You don't have to know anything about the series while watching the movie, it's completely stand alone.

I watched the Movie first. I knew abit about Cowboy Bebop. I was fine.

You don't need to have seen the series, and the movie isn't going to really spoil anything from the series either. I'd say go for it.

But watch the series some time down the line, because it's awesome. :mrgreen:

I actually got into Bebop through the movie, and that's definitely worth buying from somewhere like play.com, who have it on special offer I think.

The series does explain how they all met and is just as good as the film, if not better. If you like the film, you'd love the series too.

im also one of the people who watch the movie first and right after i got the serie as i like it so much

I did the seires first then bought the movie, and I found I enjoyed the movie much more for it. It fills that hole you have after leaving the crew of the Bebop at the end of episode 26 - Well, that's how I felt anyway.

But I don't see how seeing the movie before the series really could pose any problems.
