Has the FLCL competition ended? Yes it has.

AnimeCentral.com has fairly regular competitions for DVDs, I usually enter but I've never won.

I usually check out the futurenet.com website page once a month it lists all the mags they publish websites and quite a few of them have competitions you can enter. SFX is one of there mags and they regularly give away anime goodies

Indeed the competition has ended, Yagami.
There will be more like this one coming soon. I am rather hoping for stuff like Death Note, Naruto and Bleach to be potentially won at some point too.
