I think comic party is great (peeps on irc know this already lol)
here is one of the reasons why its funny
the characters are based on stereo types of anime and manga fans ranging from crazed otakus like taishi (god taishi should have the show to himself), to newbies like kazuki, doubting and concerned for friend's unhealthly liking to anime and manga like mizuki, protestors for anime and manga like yuu, manga and anime control freaks like emi. i think its really funny
 
I moved this to Anime Recommendations & Views, as you might get more response there - who knows :D

Never fancied it myself though, it seemed to be an anime within an anime and it just never appealed to me - the idea of anime and manga fans in an anime :?
 
Although I protested loudly that an anime about anime and manga/doujinshi fans doesn't appeal, the purchase of the region 1 DVD boxset for £20 has allowed me to change my mind :lol:

I bought this just after I posted my protest!! (as I said for the bargain price of £20) and while the anime itself has many faults (horrid female character design, insipid irritating, not cute female characters, a very slow start and some stale reuse of comic scenes), I actually really really enjoyed watching it :D and thankfully the bad parts were overshadowed by the very good parts!
 
well done my sister you have seen the light i hope the taishi were as great to you as they were to me muahahahaha

I have to say Taishi annoyed me just a little, he was just TOO MUCH of an Otaku for my liking :lol:
My fave bit was the cosplay cafe - I wouldn't mind a part-time job there myself :wink:
 
i might just check this out....seems interesting...if it is very funny then i am gonna go for it...so i shall keep an eye out for it :)
 
I'm not sure what you mean by random!
It's an amusing comedy, you will laugh a little, but you won't split your sides, you'll smile more than anything.
