Cities of Gold rush?

well this one slipped under the radar, with the cities of gold boxset already out, looks like people are already trying to cash in on it.

There is apparently a movie addaption of the series underway (i assume a retelling of the story, much like Escaflowne did)

However it's also been mentioned that if the movie and boxsets prove a sucess there will be a sequal made too

now judging from how ANN hasn't picked this up, i'm going to assume it's going to be americanise and so Americanime styled in 3D, but still, gives hope for old classics
 
Oh no, I learned my lesson from Transformers and Thundercats. You cant go back without being dissapointed. Im leaving this series safely stored in my inner child where it belongs
 
I can't recall seeing this series... I've seen that it has recently been released... maybe I'll check this movie to see if I like.
