Buy official English subtitled DVD of Monster from Singapore

Given Monster's low chance of being released in an English speaking country any time soon, it's worth mentioning that fans of the acclaimed thriller can get their hands on an official English subtitled DVD set (Vol. 1 contains episodes 1 - 12 and costs £12 without shipping fees) by importing from Singapore (DVD Region 3).

Always good to have a back-up plan. The DVD artwork looks a bit dull and uninspiring, especially compared with the Japanese boxes... If only they were subtitled

This is from ODEX though isn't it? They are a bit odd actually - very inconsistent with release dates etc.

I have found the quality of their subs to be quite low as well.

At least Monster fans have some kind of option now, as mentioned, the chances of it arriving in the UK in the near future are increasingly slim

I'm praying for some US boxsets of the series in the distant future.

Isn't there a movie adaptation in the works? Maybe when that's released in the US it may push forward a release of the anime on DVD
