I think I have a new favorite film - I watched this last night and I'm still totally in love with it. I'll have to write a full review later, but damn, I just have to say it was brilliant.

All of the music in these trailers is actually played in full during the movie. It's by a awesome Japanese hard rock band called "Thee Michelle Gun Elephant".

As far as I can tell, Blue Spring isn't released in the UK, but track it down anyway. It's an ambient film about Japanese delinquent teenagers on the brink of graduating from high school but not having any idea of what to do with their lives. It's a movie about self-destruction.
 
It's based on a manga by Taiyou Matsumoto, if that isn't enough reason for you, go and sit in the corner ;)
 
How strange! I ordered this a few days ago and I'm eagerly awaiting its arrival.Though there is something about Ryuhei Matsuda I really dislike,you can't fault his acting.He really is quite superb,amazing in Big Bang Love, Juvenile A.

Speaking two months after seeing Blue Spring, it's probably my favorite 'discovery' of the year. I'm probably going to have to write about it at length at some point, I'm reading the manga at the moment.
 
I bought this DVD about a year ago on a random gamble, I thought it was great. I really enjoyed watching it.
