Anime Limited's conquest of streaming service Netflix is continuing in full force! After making Kill la Kill, Gurren Lagann and Samurai Flamenco available on the service, the distributor has added another of their upcoming releases: the supernatural action comedy Blood Lad, an adaptation of Yuuki Kodama's manga of the same name that aired in Japan last year.
Blood Lad is set in the surreal "Demon World" and stars the vampire Staz Charlie Blood, who avoids hunting humans like his ancestors did. When a human girl, Fuyumi Yanagi accidentally wonders into the Demon World and is killed by a carnivorous plant and becomes a ghost, Staz pledges to help bring her back to life.
Anime Limited will be releasing the series on DVD and blu-ray on 27th October. The series is available for streaming in both English and Japanese.
