Bleach Question: Ganju Shiba

In Bleach episode 41, Ganju trys to hold off Rukias brother while hannatoro trys to escape with Rukia. Her brother Does this move on Ganju which injures him badly. If you have seen episode 41 then you should know what im talking about.

My question is: Does Shiba die? Because if he does i might not watch the rest. Because Shiba is the best Bleach character PERIOD!!! hes so damn funny!

So please someone answer my question.
