The end for <b><i>Blade of the Immortal</i></b> is coming out this month in Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon magazine and the magazine also revealed that Samura is already planning a new series to be released in mid-2013.
<b><i>Blade of the Immortal</i></b> is finishing after 19 years of Serialisation. The series won an Excellence Prize at the 1997 Japan Media Arts Festival and the Eisner Award in 2000 for Best Edition of Foreign Material.

I'm glad Blade of the Immortal is coming to an end. Ive read up to volume 14 or maybe 15 or the manga and now I have a reason to pick it up again.

It did seem to have gone on a little longer than i'd expected, I need to catch up with my reading.

I'm another person who has read upto the mid teens in terms of volumes. Guess I need to catch up as well.

I'll be interested to see what form the new manga takes. Even though Blade of the Immortal never really grabbed me, I'm a big fan of Samura's artwork.

Really that series is still going, I thought many people didn't like it for some reason, I didn't mind it.
