Black Jack: DVD Collection

Can anyone tell me what the two Black Jack sets released in the US contain? I'm at a loss as to if it's a TV series, an OAV or a collection of movies.

I'm pretty sure it's the OVA series, of which there are 10 episodes between two box sets (1-6 on the first and 7-10 on the second). I've seen one or two of them and the style is pretty similar to the movie. Episodes are up to an hour long each so they're quite substantial. :)

Thats spot on I have them both and they are even better than the movie. If you can still get them there well worth it.

Plus there are region free, so even your mates without multi region DVDs can play them too
 
This release is region free?! Aw, if I'd have known that, I would have checked it out sooner. Now it's impossible to find vol. 1 of the set :[

Any opinions on it, Sy?

I got an email saying it must have been lost int he mail and they'd send me another one. Fair enough. 2 weeks later I asked again. Replied within 5 minutes of my email saying it got lost again and they'd send me another. Ok last chance. Sorry it got lost again. We'll refund you. It was still in stock on other places but by that point i'd lost interest.
