Bitch 'n Ted

Aion

Time-Traveller
My dog, Princess, a Westie, has recently started to guard a teddy of hers. She wont leave it and goes for anyone (well, she bites me anyway, but whatever - I'm a bully) who tries to remove it from her.

Is it normal for white rats to confuse small teddies with wings on for puppies, and do think she'd calm down if she was allowed to breed more white rats? I think, being as daft as she is, she'd stay over-protective and kill her own pups if she was allowed to breed. She's a bit dumb like that, y'see.

I mean, it's funny seeing her hiding with it behind the back of the sofa and looking around the corner but you have to question her sanity. I wonder if she was dropped on her head as a pup, and if hitting her hard on the head again would remedy this issue? 'Tis troubling...

That sounds very sweet.

I presume if she was to breed she'd be too busy and distracted to stalk teddies but after that might become even crazier; having kittens didn't stop my old cat from being maternal and silly sometimes.

I now want to see Princess pics in the Pics of Everyone thread by the way.

Aion have a dog called Princess... That comes as quite a revelation to me.

I've always pictured you as someone who would have one of those intimidating dogs and woudl name it Charles Manson or something like that =P

At my mum's place there is a large concreted 'garden' area, which always had a dog for as long as I can remember. We never allowed the dogs inside the house and none has ever become protective of anything really. When I was young, one of our dogs bit my dad as he was spanking me for doing something naughty. I can't remember what I did, but after that, my dad never spanked me in front of the dog again.

What's this? She won't leave things alone and reacts violently to conflict..?

And she's your dog, Aion? :p

I can't have any pets now I live in a flat. Makes some things easier - I don't have to think about feeding times or walks and I could go away for several days at a time without any trouble (not that I can afford to) but I miss having animals around. I prefer cats to dogs though because they aren't so needy.

In terms of pets behaving weirdly, my sister's cat seems almost schizophrenic. Sometimes she's utterly paranoid and runs and hides at the slightest sound or movement and other times she's the most upfront, brazen cat you'd ever see, trying to swipe food off plates and climbing all over people's shoulders and heads.

Schizo cats are the best =)
My mum never liked cats too much, she always prefered dogs. I would like to have a ferret myself, but I also live in a flat and I can't have pets.

I was going to say that the dog isn't scanner friendly, but then I started to think that there might be some old pictures. I found 'em: http://img156.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=ratzilla5.jpg

I had to cut and zoom because the pictures are crappy.

By the way, the dog is still hiding behind the sofa with the toy. And, though it isn't new, she barked at me when she heard me coming downstairs before retreating again.

Cute dog pictures, just the right note to end my day on :) thanks!

I take it the corpses of stuffed toys at her feet are not the teddy but older prototypes? She looks lovely. It's tempting to make a pet thread just to bait more animal pictures...

Some Ratzilla facts:

1#: She's afraid of bubbles. To scare her, you just have to do a blowing sound.

2#: She's a coward, barking from a distance but running when closer. She only barks at me when she feels safe.

3#: She has a fetish for bald old men called Harry. She gets excited over her daily visits to Harry.

4#: She doesn't like walking. he refuses to enter the local park and oftend just stops at random, looking at me with 'please kick me to give me motivation' look.

5#: She does not like playing. Balls and the like hold no interest for her.

6#: The teddie in the pictures - Suzie - is her lesbian mating partner. Around its neck is a tiny teddie she has viewed as her pup in the past, when she came close to swallowing it and wouldn't put it down.

7#: When I was left to look after her when she was younger, I let her upstairs. She picked up a block of rat poison, ran under my bed and refused to drop it. I ended up getting her in a headlock and putting a spoon with salt on down her mouth.

8#: When she's angry, her mouth trembles. She gets most angry when I 'attempt' to drink her tea.

I didn't take them, and it wasn't my camera. That's why I had to look for old pictures instead of just going down the stairs, snapping a few shots and hooking up the camera to my PC. Those pictures are years old. And it's the same reason I use my scanner so much - it ain't out of love. :D

While we're on the subject, I ain't seen your darker than black self yet either, Lupus. I'm making it my avatar when/if you do post. A black boy on an anime forum is a rare thing.

OT: The dogs phantom puppy lovin' is still on-going. She won't leave the house now. I'm sure she thinks, like a crow, I'm going to go into her 'next' and eat her baby. I mean, really, I'm not a monster! She has such a low opinion of me.
