Beck is a fantastic show. It follows the age old tradition of shonen stories, the usual battle to be the best at <insert>, with the backdrop in this instance of a rock band. It is true that Koyuki is such a wet character and kind of hard to like because of it, especially at the beginning of the show but over time his confidence grows as he becomes more and more involved in the band and the rock scene in general. I'd say worth enduring a few episodes until the band forms at the very least.
