But isn't it awsome Monkey has been revived? In animated form, no less. By Jamie Hewlett of Tank Girl / Gorillaz fame!? I love Tank Girl.

Surely they can get a series out of this?
 
I really like his character designs, very stylish. I'd be interested if they ever got him to do a series.

Nice animation. I also love Tank Girl. It's a great style and the fact that it's Monkey and Co just makes it all the better. Guessing there's no rumours about a series only sepculation at the moment.

But if we all commented on the website and said how much we love Monkey... you never know.

The Novels are Craaazy (in a cool way). I also liked the movie unlike some novel to silver screens I've seen. Well chosen actress... eerr... Lori Petty!

Oh wow how wonderful :) I wish they'd really do it into an animated series, it would've been great to see the opera too.

I totally loved the Japanese TV version Monkey when I was a kid (it was probably what made me monkey mad for any Monkey King stories) :D
I saw the whole season on DVD at a reasonable price last year sometime, and any time my sister comes over we watch an episode and roar with laughter.

Yeah, the media artists for Gorillaz are amazing at what they do. The fact it's made for the Olympics was... wierd, but not too distasteful.

Probably wont watch it though.
 
funny you came up with it... There is a play with this story on, my co-worker invited me to it.

I'm also considering this series, it's out by fab films with some eps that have not being shown before.
