Bamboo Blade is get UK release, Probably by Manga UK?

You heard it here first Bamboo Blade is getting an UK release DVD release. It's a 2 Disc set been released on 22/11/2010 with an RRP of £24.99, If it following the Funimation release pattern it should mean 13 Episode set. Its not 100% yet who releasing it but on the item description it mentions "Series 1 - Part 1" which is a hallmark of Manga Releases.

probably the best thing i've heard for quite a while, i'm currently collecting the manga and i've watched a few episodes so this is definately going to be a must buy for me :)

Well FUNi definatly has some UK rights (it is streamed here) for it, so not too surprising.
""series 1- Part 1"" is a FUNi thing not Manga, they use the same titles. see things like Negima!?.

I hope Manga use a more appealing colour scheme for the packaging than Funi did (green and orange? Ick).

For anyone who's seen it, how big a role does the actual combat play? Sports anime bores me, see.

Its not Exclusive thing that they copied of Funimation as they use the same wording for Non Funimation Releases like their releases of Viz Naruto & Bleach. It simply illustrate the point its probably Manga UK license as neither MVM or BEEZ use that type of wording on UK DVD releases.

I watched this a few months ago. It was nothing special, just generally alright-good all round. Can't really see it doing particularly well here to be honest...

Just sent an email to Manga to see how it's going to be released and they replied:

Yes. You can expect it to be good. 2 releases like Ouran High School Host Club. 2-discs, 12 episodes uncut, Japanese and English. DVDs authored by Madman.

I've read the first volume of the manga and I defintely getting this one.

I must say that the state of anime in the UK a couple years ago were not looking too hot, but my faith is being slowly restored by Manga.
