Aria: The Scarlet Ammo streams to the UK

As if you didn't have enough new season anime to choose from already, yesterday saw the appearance of the first two episodes of recent acquisition Aria: The Scarlet Ammo on FUNimation Entertainment's YouTube channel - the best news of all is, these streams are available to be viewed here in the UK!

Aria the Scarlet Ammo (aka Hidan no Aria in Japan) is J.C. Staff's adaptation of a girl with guns light novel series with romantic comedy overtones, set in a school where budding detectives are trained how to use weapons. When the shows protagonist Kinji Tooyama bumps into the school's ace student, hijinks ensure, and Tooyama may well have to choose whether or not to reveal the special power he's kept a secret thus far to her.

The first two episodes of the series are currently available to be watched, with further episodes being made available on a weekly basis.

Handy! I forget what the other implications of Funi streaming it to the UK are, and also how swift they are to update their youtube channel each week, but still.

It's unrated as the series hasn't aired yet, so they've no idea what it's going to be like. Mind they did 17+ most of their catalogue anyway.

Surely you must have realised that with Vampire Bund. Which they cut for a scene that's in chapter 1 of the manga.
They know less than a fan with the wikipedia page when it comes to series content. They have to license simulcasts so fast that they can't go and check.

Also they'll want to take whatever they're offered by Japan so as to keep good relations with the licensor.

As I see it:
FUNi are close to Media Factory they're on production comitee for most FUNi simulcasts (like Hidan no Aria, okamisan, bakatest etc.),
they also want to cock block Sentai Filmworks, who are close to TBS (the main producer for Hidan no Aria),
If they didn't pay up and license it for simulcast & dvd now Sentai would likely get it.

FUni actualy trying to compete with Sentai so they don't lose very show that airs on TBS permanently?
