Are MVM titles available at HMV?

Since HMV was saved from being closed down I decided to go to the one in Glasgow to try and get Gi-Rei Zero. But when I checked the anime section they had all the new releases from Manga UK/Kaze, but nothing from MVM at all.

Does any HMV stock MVM titles now?

I've seen some of their older stuff but I think the newest thing I've seen is Rozen Maiden Overture. Most MVM stuff is way overpriced in HMV anyway.

Rarely. I haven't seen any MVM titles in any stores near me, but when I was up in Birmingham a few weeks ago, a HMV there did have a few of their titles like Rozen Maiden and .Hack. As st_owly said though, they were horribly overpriced.

Not as bad as they were with Beez - overpriced and they generally only ever got in the first couple of discs of anything (in fact, I rarely saw the later discs of Beez titles anywhere on the high street); Durarara was really expensive but I got it anyway (I'd made a bet with myself on the way in - if they had it I would get it - but wasn't expecting to pay £70 for two volumes...) - except the third disc which I had to order online.

I went and just bought Gi-Rei Zero from United Publications which was available for immediate delivery. Problem solved...oh btw I went to another HMV in Glasgow, they had Vampire Princess Miyu but it was about £40

I managed to get all 3 discs of Durarara in HMV here in Edinburgh. Did end up shelling £77 for it, but it was after Beez had gone bust, so I thought I'd get them ASAP before the prices skyrocketed.

I got lucky with Durarara, picked up discs 1 and 2 for a fiver each in CEX and disc3 on Amazon for a tenner a couple of months back. Must finish watching it.

But yeah, HMV anime is always silly money. Even during the "closing down" sale, the reduced prices were still much more than eBay or Amazon.

I got a few bargains in the recent closing down sale. The World God Only Knows Season 1 for £10, Hetalia Season 4 for £8, Barefoot Gen for £4, Haruhi Suzumiya Season 2 for £9. Guess that was as much down to luck as anything though.

Okay I'm now convinced MVM titles are being shunned by HMV now. I went out to try and get Majikoi Oh - Samurai Girls at the 2 HMVs left in Glasgow. They had all the new Manga UK titles...but no MOSG (though they do have the boxsets MVM have released in the past)
