Warner Home Video announced that it licensed the worldwide home video and television rights (excluding Japan) for the Appleseed movie sequel, Ex Machina.
It is planning a 2008 release on DVD and an unspecified "high definition format disc." It is also planning simultaneous standard versions and two-disc collectors' sets.
The film adaptation of Masamune Shirow's future paramilitary police manga features director Shinji Aramaki (Madox-01, Megazone 23 Part III) and executive producer John Woo.
