Basicaly i got a piece of work thats in for some time soon but to be honest i have absolutely no clue when its in for.
I am doing a game development course and at the moment we are doing about different files formats used for different things.
The only bit on the piece of work that im not sure what to write about is as follows 'Identify and describe the different file formats you would use to create the artwork for: posters; web images; trailers; demos; banners; fliers; badges; pens; t-shirt designs and logos.'
Anyone wanna give me some information about which file formats i would use for any of those? and why they should be used :D

Cheers if anyone can help :p

Yer exactly... Trailers, Demos, Pens, Tshirt Designs, badges... How in gods name am i sposed to know? Ive only been on this course a few weeks and she expects me to know already?! its insane...

T-shirt designs etc would have some file format for optimum design, like an Illustrator file extension or something, but a pen? - No idea what your tutor's been smoking there. :?

Hah cheers.
Any help is welcome.
She is a bit of a strange one... You ask her a question and she replies with a question... so you never get a clear answer haha.

Yoda?

I suppose she just means the software most suitable to design each product.

What kind of demo are we talking about here? If its a game demo wouldn't that depend on the platform its for? I.E. a PC demo would be an .exe file or prephaps a batch file (.BAT) while something on say the GP2X handheld (it runs linux and is what i have to design and create a game for by next summer) would be a .gpe file

I have honestly no idea. Thats the only information we were given and we have to work from that.

Could mean demo a product which basically means to allow the consumer to see the product working and get an idea if it suits them. In this idea it could mean series trailers so you could use video or flash files. Of to demo a mango you could hand out the first few pages either on hardcopy (paper) or over the internet using jpegs, html or adobe files.

Hope this helps

Think i finaly just got the work finished. I showed my teacher the other day what i had started and she started mumbling on about something and the only thing i understood was 'and theres my stupid humor type coming out'. At that point i was like 'how in gods name is this helping me?' so i turned away and carried on with my line rider course :p
