Nah it isn't really for sale, but have a look here!

Animeleague, on the other hand, is worth a paltry $2,910,000 according to that site.

Poor UK-anime.net, however, only rates in at $2784.

Ok, I think I shall reconsider my options... ;)

Anyway, this sounds really dodgy.
daily earning potential of a 1k US$? So why the hell I'm still working fulltime somewhere else!

I assume the site (netvaluer) works it out based on the number of visitors & the most lucrative advertising it knows of & puts the two together.

Still, if that were so, AnimeLeague would have come higher than us because they have more visitors....

Confusing how they work that out, but still, take pride that we're worth more than AL. :D

Very dodgy - how can they know the number of visitors without accessing my server logs, which is not public information and would be a severe security breach from my hosting (as well as a serious legal issue).

Also, our main site has alway had more visitors than our forums. (I can't remember from the top of my head, but it had double the number of visitors at some point) and anime league have conventions behind it, which make people bond more (and stay longer in a forum) as people end up meeting each other IRL.

Hey, if you could make a living from AUKN though, how awesome would that be?

Just as long as you don't ever sell out to corporate interests like Anime on DVD. I wouldn't care about that so much if it didn't makes the site load ten times slower... :x

Yes, that would be epic.
Paul literally gave all decision making to me and dropped from the face of the world. In other werds, I could do whatever the hell I wanted. But the thing is, I don't want this to become an "sold-out" to others interests. We have good relations with the industry, but we are friends with the fans.

If the guys in the industry screw up, we will be the ones yelling "OI!", of course we are reasonable people, so we will hear their opinions. But I believe that both me industry people and me want the same thing - to keep fans happy. I'd also add that I'd like to make friends and influence people, but that's another story. ;)
