Anime Style Doctor Who Started on CBBC Today.

According to the UK Film and TV industry journal "Broadcast", 2 former Cosgrove Hall producers (remember Danger Mouse?) have produced a 13x 30minutes animated series of the popular BBC sci-fi. It has been done in"manga style 2d designs with CGi backgrounds." First episode aired today at 1700 and will air for the next 12 Mondays at the same time on CBBC.

From what I've heard it's more in the style of american comic books than any typical anime style.

Well, at least there is an animation studio producing something in the UK. I'm not a Dr. Who fan, however looking at the art over at Wikipedia suggests this isn't looking too shabby at all.

Well I suppse it makes sense mix snime with a popular theme and you get a way to sneak it into the mainstream media

Thank god I have found someone else who hates that bloody show. Why couldnt they just keep it away from animation
