They might have slightly different packaging because of the £10 lower RRP value. For example Samurai Champloo collection before came with a bandanna, I guess new cheaper re-release won't. If it had no special extra before then I assume the new re-release will be exactly the same unless MVM has stooped doing the artwork boxes with thin pack cases for some reason?

They are been re-released to get more interest in the product and offering the set at lower price to encourage sales.
 
I assume the re-release is to bring the prices down to a more normal RRP. Anime has got cheaper over the years. That brings them in line with recent Manga box sets in terms of price.
 
When I was at the Expo they had some of the re-releases there. They were in brick cases, the exact same as the Anime Legends cases.
