I will so buy this. When i was in Japan I was looking forward to buy it but 30euros was way too much for just a cd, even though I really love the anime.

Re: Anime Limited announces Attack On Titan original soundtr

The fact that a physical release will be around sometime this year makes up for the Limited Edition release not including the soundtrack, awesome. Let's hope Anime Ltd gets OST II which has that epic remix tune in the season finale.

Re: Anime Limited announces Attack On Titan original soundtr

This is a bit of a surprise. I very very rarely buy CDs (I've bought one in the past year), but this is the kind of thing I'd like a physical thing for. I'm happy to wait until Summer.

Re: Anime Limited announces Attack On Titan original soundtr

Not looking to buy but it's nice to see some some tracks coming out over here. However, if I was buying I would wait for the CD. Not buying music in MP3 format. The MP3 format is a relic.

Re: Anime Limited announces Attack On Titan original soundtr

Great! I'll probably wait for the CD just because it is different to the usual.

Don't buy it from Amazon then :p
iTunes files are in M4A format, I can't remember what Google's come in.

Re: Anime Limited announces Attack On Titan original soundtr

Now that's interesting! More anime music being made available on as many mediums as possible is definitely a good thing.

Re: Anime Limited announces Attack On Titan original soundtr

I already own the soundtrack on CD (and have had it for a while) so I'll just have to spread the word instead. It will be very interesting to see how this does.

M4A format, but from reading online use the AAC codec. So still lossy.

Instead of saying "Not buying music in MP3 format." I should have said, not buying music using a lossy codec.

Re: Anime Limited announces Attack On Titan original soundtr

Oh yeah, for anyone wondering about the price difference between the stores, Andrew explained to me on Facebook that this is because each website has their own different pricing systems for things.

Andrew can correct me on this if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing this means that Anime Limited receive the same amount of money from each of the different avenues, with the difference in price reflecting the different cuts Amazon/iTunes/Google want from each sale? (So in short: Amazon is greedy).

Re: Anime Limited announces Attack On Titan original soundtr

This might be a little to soon to ask but does anyone has any idea about what it will be the price range for this?

Before you ask I don't own a Hi-Fi & haven't owned one in years , but I do not believe you can notice the difference on headphones with something like this if you encode it at 256kbps. You're only going to notice the difference if you can afford something like a five digit audio system.

Re: Anime Limited announces Attack On Titan original soundtr

Given that the only person complaining about the format options wasn't intending to buy it anyway, I don't think there's too much to worry about.

That's fair enough.

Basically for me, even if I can't hear the difference with the equipment I have, given the choice of lossy or lossless, lossless wins every time.Trigun Badland Rumble Blu-ray for example, bought the US version, mainly because the UK version has lossy audio and the US has lossless. With Blu-ray, there are one or two exceptions that may come into the decision to buy though.

With music, I will always choose the CD over a download format. Why, with the CD I have an uncompressed format from the beginning. From the CD I can convert to a lossy format for a portable player.

I don't really bother CDs these days as I mostly regard them as outdated, last year I purchased a grand total of two CDs all year. I will only buy the CD if it is something that I cannot get in legal download in the UK, such as the Kill La kill OST, or it is a special release.

Re: Anime Limited announces Attack On Titan original soundtr

Me, I thought 64kb/s ATRAC sounded OK (I was annoyed when my Sony Ericsson phone didn't support ATRAC as I had to rerip everything, and at a higher bitrate since 64kb/s AAC sounded awful - but the phone only supported cards up to 4GB...)
