Comic Con has only just ended, but here we are again with another awesome announcement! Along with the Parasyte anime, we are excited to announce that we’ve secured the licence for the live-action Parasyte movie. That’s not all, we are also pleased to say that Parasyte Part 1 has been accepted and will screen at the International Edinburgh Film Festival (17th – 28th June) alongside our other title, Dead Rising: Watchtower. We are thrilled that Toho have given us the opportunity to bring Parasyte to the UK and we hope you all enjoy it as much as we do!

I've heard okay things about the live-action version but I'm happy to see Animatsu licensing Japanese films.

Might actually buy an Animatsu release at this rate, though I'll need convincing it will be handled better than Harlock.

Heh, "Hand"led.

Sorry, I suppose I should make a legitimate comment. I guess it's good to see more of these things released here, although I tend to mostly hear negative to middling comments on live-action adaptations of anime/manga so I can't say I'm especially excited. Still, the easier it is to try things the more likely I'll give it a go and I might find I actually enjoy some.

I've heard the ending to Part 2 in particular has received some criticism from fans in Japan. Can't say I've heard much about Part 1 though.
