Next year, Edge of Tomorrow, the Warner Bros. live-action movie adaptation of Hiroshi Sakurazaka's All You Need Is Kill light novel will be released in theatres, starring Tom Cruise (Mission Impossible) and Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada, The Wind Rises).Today, it was announced that Death Note artist Takeshi Obata has signed on to a manga adaptation of the original novel, which will be serialised in Japan's Weekly Young Jump from 9th January and will released simultaneously in the English language Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine.

When aliens known as "Mimics" invade, Keiji Kiriya (known as Lt. Col. William Cage in Edge of Tomorrow) is one of many new recruits forced into what is essentially a suicide mission and predictably, he dies in mere minutes. However, he finds himself reborn each morning to fight and die once more. On the 158th repetition, he sees something different - a female soldier known as the Bitch of War, who might just be able to lead to Keiji's escape, or his final death?
