ADV UK have updated their website and revealed their April DVD releases; including the expected debut of New Fist of the North Star but also lamenting the concluding volumes of Kino's Journey and Angelic Layer, stating "... the reviewers certainly liked them, but sadly not enough of you out there did". Their full April '05 schedule is listed below.
18th April ADV UK releases
Angelic Layer #7

Azumanga Daioh #5

Kino's Journey #4

Last Exile #3

Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum #2

New Fist of the North Star #1

Once we receive them, we will post the press releases and some select cover art for these releases. All of these release dates have been entered into our UK anime release schedule.

hmm, i may ask for eva platinum as a (week late) birthday present then...it's good to see they're releasing more of Last Exile as well. i think that's another series on my 'to buy' list.

It's sad Kino's Journey hasn't sold that well for them. But I guess when you're dealing with a straight to DVD market, a subtle show like Kino's Journey doesn't exactly jump off the shelves compared with say, the head exploding hijinks of New Fist of the North Star*. I just hope this won't stop ADV UK releasing more series like Kino's Journey in the UK- it's one of the few shows on their schedule that is a completely original, genre defying release.

*The ultra violence fan in me is kinda looking forward to New Fist of the North Star. Big fan of the movie here :)

real shanme about Kinos journey not getting the popular recognition it deserves.

but like Paul said the violent, mind numbing maleness in me looks forward to new FOTNS

Angelic Layer didnt sell well? WTF?!?! Its one of the best shoenen fighting shows ive seen, kicks the crap out of Dragonball Z/GT.

ANyway, its sad that the series is coming to an end

EDIT: bet it didnt sell well cus its a "kids" anime without a cardgame/video game to mooch sales off.

Looks like a good line-up, Kino's Journey #4 is definitely on my 'to buy' list anyway, sad that it has been so overlooked in general. I also saw a lot of negative reviews of Angelic Layer around after its US release but in fact it's a good show- it's refreshing to have female characters who are more than whiny cheerleaders, not to mention the absence of a bad guy trying to take over world by winning a children's gaming tourmanent (which of course is the standard and logical approach to world domination).

And as for the new FOTNS, bring it on!

OK right thread this time:
quoted from the press release:
Based on the popular Azumanga Daioh manga series (which has been released by ADV Manga, and is available through import and specialist bookstores in the UK)

ADV UK are finally talking about ADV manga! Altough they are only mentioning it in a sort of not really offically released in this country, but we will tell you how to get it anyway style way....
