So I checked out the promo disc that comes with one of the recent issues of Neo Magazine. I watched episode one of Pumpkin Scissors and Kurau Phantom Memory, along with episode two of e Chevalier D'eon. The first episode of Kurau was pretty good in terms of visuals and music, seems like it's going to be depressing as it goes on though. Anyway the reason I'm talking about this is because I want some opinions on these two series'. What do you guys think of them, are any of them good enough to be added onto my wish list or are they just average?
 
I really want to get that issue of Neo, but I can't seem to track it down :[

As for the series, I haven't seen them, but Le Chevalier D'Eon is apparently fantastic!
 
I got it too, don't know why though... they usually tell you everything you usually already know and are all "BEST MANGA EVER: DEATH NOTE, NARUTO, BLEACH." But anyway, I got the DVD, I've seen Kurau on Anime Network, expected good things, didn't get them, thought it was pretty ****** to be honest. Hoping Pumpkin Scissors and Le Chevalier D'Eon provide though.
 
Hm, I take it not many people have watched the series' mentioned in the topic. I guess I'll have to dig around older specific topics on each anime to get a rough idea of what to expect.
 
Seem a all of Kurau that's out in the UK and it's... good but the pacing is off, bits they should drag out are swept through, and bits they should have ran throught are dragged out. It's highly watchable, but it hasn't yet wowed me. Watched Pumpkin Scissors and it was... meh. The problem is that it is part of a very long running manga series and they have had to put a lot is that will obviously play a major part in later series, but doesn't do more than irriated you as it's left hanging.
As for Chevalier d'Eon its waiting for me in the UK.
 
So out of the three mentioned, it seems Le Chevalier D'eon is the most highly regarded. I'll do some more digging around, and see which of the three I'll add to my wishlist of things I plan to watch in the near future.
 
Avoid Pumpkin Scissors. Really not worth your time watching - plot, characters, art all horribly mediocre.
Kurau I've watched a bit on fansub to see if it's worth buying, and I'm still undecided - doesn't seem to be going anywhere especially at the moment.
Chevalier d'Eon I've only seen the first episode fansubbed when it first aired, and while it looked promising it's hard to say more about it.
