A warning and example of stupidity on eBay.

Apologies in advance to link to fake a game on ebay. But it's a warning and to demonstrate how stupid some bidders are on ebay:

SNES: Secret Of Mana 2 PAL cartridge only for a final price of £134.50 .

It's a fake game as Secret Of Mana 2 which was never even translated into English. There was an English fan translation made of Secret Of Mana 2 later on which was released for non profit on the emulators. Sadly people now are massively profiteering on producing fakes like this and people are failing for it.

Other never released games like Star Fox 2 for example also have fake cartridges floating about. So be careful and avoid wasting money on these fakes!

Maybe they put the fan translation on the cartridge so that it would work on an actual SNES?

I wouldn't imagine that would work, as the cartridges would still be region locked to Japan.

Also a copy of the Japanese Secret of Mana 2 is available as buy it now price of £7.99:

So even If they used a legit cartridge they are stealing something else non-profit fan translation to make an obscene profit.

Little point as it looks like he only sold one copy, probably they brought a copy off a dodgy seller themselves. It may be worth If they were repeatably selling bootlegs but even then they would just open up a new account once the old one was banned.
