Gonzo (Last Exile, Hellsing) have announced their intentions to adapt popular Japanese sci-fi novel 'Murdock Scramble'. Planned to be an OVA with a Japanese release slated for winter 2006, Gonzo intend to fully animate this project using 3D-CG technology (including a first for Gonzo; CG facial expressions, similiar to the likes of the new Appleseed movie and Final Fantasy: Advent Children).

I wonder how this will turn out. Gonzo have risen in the last few years to near the forefront of anime, and have always been technologically advanced.

It could also help the dying OVA industry.
 
One thing Gonzo excel in is the quality of animation, so no worries there. i've not heard of Murdok Sramble though. anyone familiar with it?
