Might get DxD to check out, not sure yet.

Well the anime of that just came out on Region 2, which at least gives us Brits a choice in which to go for first (unless you got the Region 1 DVD of course).

Yeah, I already have Funimation's Blu-rays. Was thinking of getting it to see how much of a difference there is between it and the anime. The Btooom manga for example introduces the characters in a different order and is a bit more graphical (the violence and the rape scene)

Already got My Little Monster. Didn't buy Kazumi Magica in Waterstones last week because they can get lost if they think I'm paying £9.99 for a <150 page volume. Debating whether or not to buy the singles of AoT or just get the Colossal Edition.

As much as I would like to get Attack on Titan in such a big format, the binding is awful.
Who makes such a large book with 1000 pages and gives it a crappy paperback glue binding. I had a paperback single volume LotR like that and the front pages were already separating before I had finished it. While I know it would cost more, Vertical should have done it like they do with Gundam Origins or how Viz did the Nausicaa box set.

I'm buying the singles of Attack on Titan, the colossal edition would be just too big to carry round with me when i read my manga on the train sometimes. You'd have to wait ages for the next colossal edition too, had a similar issue with The Walking Dead Graphic Novel Compendium editions.

I'll pick up Btooom & Haruhi once i've bought the first few and i'll get HS DxD soon since i really like the anime.

Kinda surprised to see a omnibus attack on titan so quick, you'd think the singles would still be hot sellers. I like how it's an oversized release :)

I'm picking up

DxD
Haruhi
Soul Eater
Triage X

I'll probably grab the AoT colossal edition, haven't read any of the manga yet. Haruhi was dispatched on Tuesday according to Book Depository.

Will get Kazumi Magica when it's a bit cheaper... But that price is ridiculous - the price in Japan is the equivalent of £4.14. If the prices are going up this much that gives me yet another reason to be gradually cutting back on English language manga. This will be another series gone from the list once the volume is bought.

Ouch, looks like Amazon have applied zero discount on some of those items. It's £5.95 on UP1, I guess you have to pay postage, but that applies on Amazon too as it's under £10 on its own.

Haruhi 18 is in the post.

I expected my stuff to go out today, as part of it was being processed on Tues evening. The fact that it hasn't leads me to suspect one of my other pre-orders may be imminently in stock :)

Looks like the surprise addition to this weeks line up is Blade of The Immortal Vol 29, out next week according to Amazon.

The AoT colossal edition is a nice idea, but think I'd prefer it if it was just a standard 3-in-1 like Viz do. Saves shelf space and allows fans to pick up the series cheaply if they haven't dipped into it yet.

Yen Press' RRPs are really all over the place, aren't they?

Amazon are currently in a dispute with Hachette whom own Yen Press and are using subversive tactics to reduce the sales of their imprints like offering no reduction, putting long wait times on books that are actually in stock and trying to refer customers to books from other publishers.

Interesting, found a link that has some info

I'm not really convinced such tactics are effective though, If Amazon prices are high most customers are savvy enough to look at other retailers. It might stop new buyers starting a series but a customer that wants volumes in an on-going series is going to buy and buy elsewhere.
