I just finished a hell of a project-an english bluray of Air. I took the video from my jpbd set of Air along with the english audio and the subtitles from my usdvd set of Air. There was a lot of resynching, retiming and such but it was worth the effort. Air was an early series from Koyoto...
Chainsaw Man has been showing nonstop at my local theater for the past few weeks and I've resisted going to see it mainly because I watched a few episodes of the tv series and hated it, Caveat Emptor I guess.
I have a lot of old anime dvds from various vendors and a lot of them have different shades of bronze and they all play fine. I think that it's just a characteristic of some dvds. Disc rot is a term that originated with laserdiscs when due to poor manufacturing the laminated layers would...
I'm revisiting both seasons of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid since I watched the movie a few weeks ago at the theater. I'd only watched them subbed before and this time dubbed and I was surprised at how well done the dub was not to mention that the characters are a total hoot.
You could get this release of Tsukimichi here (removed). It says english subtitles and for Raven Of The Inner Palace you could get the jpbd release and add readily available subtitles but that might be a little bit expensive....!
The reason streaming became so popular was cable was rapidly becoming unpopular due to ever increasing prices (here's looking at you Comcast) and now with multiple competing streamers and ever increasing subscription prices it's the same thing all over again. Talk about shooting yourself in the...
The first 3 Aria ova episodes were included in the kickstarter set but the last 2-Aria-The Crepuscolo and the finale Aria-The Benedizione were never released outside japan. They were released a few years after the kickstarter was done. I imported the blurays for both and added the fansubs. I'll...
I saw some bozo on ebay trying to sell all 4 sets for $400. YIKES! It makes me very glad that I have the kickstarter set. Aria the Animation Collection (Blu-ray) for sale online | eBay
I was looking around for something new to watch and stumbled on Basquash and found out that Shoji Kawamori was behind it so even though it's oop I found a new copy for $15. It arrived yesterday and after watching 3 episodes I like it.
I have the oop bluray of Sky Blue that I got about 12 years ago and even then it was very difficult to find. Well worth it, though. I think it was released by some outfit called Tartan video.
I've been reading the Magical Girl Nanoha EXCEEDS manga and if the recently announced anime of the same name follows the storyline it's going to be an excellent series.
I'll Start-Renge from Non Non Biyori to Kanna from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. Both have frozen poker faces and speak in an almost even monotone, both like to prank people. Kanna wants to be loved, everybody loves Renge. Note that Renge's ribbons look like Kanna's horns and their hair is...
I Want Let You To Know That I Love You, Wannabes, Rainbow Fireflies, Magical Sisters Yoyo & Nene, Your Voice-KIMIKOE, Grey-Digital Target, Blue Thermal, Napping Princess-that should be enough to get you started.
Just saw it tonight and I won't give any spoilers but I'll just say that if you loved the tv series this movie provides a complete and very satisfying conclusion to the anime. I'll give it 8 1/2 points out of 10.
