I had a Chinese takeaway (or take out as I've heard it called across the pond). Here where I live in the UK we just commonly say we're having a Chinese or Indian for that type of food. Or I'm having a chippy if I'm having fish & chips.

Getting a Chinese for dinner so we don't have to cook the night before Christmas day.
