A few months ago I made the decision to no longer wait and buy the remaining Gundam titles. Some of them are already out of print, which makes things already harder to collect. With Nozomi basically gone now I fear the same will happen to the remaining Gundam titles.
My order from Archonia:
My eBay purchases:
I really wanted to dig into the Space Brothers series. I finally found a listing on eBay that was somewhat within budget.
The other blu rays were ones that weren't in stock during the Crunchyroll sale and also weren't in stock at Archonia.
The only...
In the Netherlands an organization called Kaboom Anime will be airing a bunch of anime movies in the next few months:
Link to their list of anime movies they'll be airing
Each of them is in Japanese with English subtitles.
I learned about them last year when I saw they were going to air Only...
My most recent Stackry order thanks to the Crunchyroll summer sale.
As you can see my two main focus points were the Gundam (which was discounted) and the Urusei Yatsura series (which wasn't discounted unfortunately). I bought almost every Gundam title that you still can't buy in Europe. There...
Crunchyroll US currently has a summer sale going on. I wonder if I should buy the remaining titles that haven't been released by Alltheanime or if I should wait longer... Especially since Rightstuf no longer exists which means that sublicensing older Gundam titles may be a lot more difficult...
Hallo!
I've had an order with exactly 20 Blu Rays/dvds shipped to the Netherlands. The total weight was 7lbs which is about 3.2kg. Shipping costs and freight costs combined were about €100. This doesn't include taxes or other import costs. My package was 28x23x18cm.
I know I know 😉 the one I posted was the (deliberately badly performed) alternate intro of the Sega Saturn game that you could unlock. The regular intro of the game was a lot better. Working Designs had a lot of fun with this game. But the original Japanese version is amazing and the one I would...
This one, right? ;)
I was already planning to watch the original series during the summer break (never seen it before). I wonder if I'll like the 90s version so much that I also want to dig into this reboot.
I'm thinking about getting into the Urusei Yatsura series, but I'm torn on which one to go for. I only watch anime on physical media and getting the OG series will cost quite a bit of money. The newer one has only been partially released on blu ray (the series only ended a few days ago).
The...
Dvds and Blu Rays I've received in the past month:
Some notable things:
Yakitate Japan: I've been looking for over a year to find this series. Part 1 is easy and cheap to find, but that's not the case for part 2 & 3. To my big surprise and joy a complete collection popped up on eBay, the...
Two weeks ago Angel's Egg was shown in a small cinema in Amsterdam (with English subtitles). That means a version with English subtitles definitely exists.
This movie would be perfect in 4K. I hope something can be arranged, but I won't keep my hopes up.
Last week I received two smaller orders: A Sister's All You Need (WowHD) & a great deal on the entire Master Keaton series (all sealed for about £50 in total from a private seller).
Today my order from Archonia arrived. Although they no longer import US Blu Rays they still have some old stock...
Today I've collected several series and movies from a private seller I've known for several years now (basically from the moment I seriously started collecting anime in late 2020).
A fair warning though, everything I picked up today is from the 00's or older 😉 So long time anime fans, rejoice!
This was the final main Lupin III series I didn't own yet, hoping this would also be released on Blu Ray... Unfortunately that never happened, so I had the settle with the DVD version. But yeah, import tax was horrible
My first experience using Stackry. I ordered anime from the Crunchyroll and the Sentai Filmworks store and combined these orders to be shipped in one package:
It took about 1 month for this combined order to arrive. This definitely won't be the last time using Stackry!
