I appreciate the effort to bring Seed Freedom over to UK cinemas, however being a sequel to Seed and Seed Destiny which add up to 100 eps, I don't think I'll be able to squeeze them in.
Be curious to see how well it does, because being a sequel requiring knowledge of previous shows must make...
Blue Giant is screening at a nearby Showcase, but only at 4:15 in afternoon on the 3rd of Feb, where a friend who is interesting in tagging along will not be available. sigh Hopefully more dates will be added. It's kind of crazy how a big release, one that clearly has wide appeal, is being...
Guess Blue Giant is not showing at Showcase. Talk about incompetent. Normally tickets would be on sale at least a few weeks or a month beforehand, but nope. It's like they're sending the movie out to die.
My local venue says that it's "Coming Soon" but can't order tickets yet, which is frustrating as it's out in mere days. Very disappointing to see a big release like this handled so strangely, especially when 3.0+1.0 allowed tickets to be purchased a month before the UK cinema release.
So five...

I wonder if this will get a UK release, if it will receive a new subtitle track. The subs on the BD and 4KBD are just dubtitles.
Reminds me of what happened with Genocidal Organ, which had a theatrical release by AL but didn't get a UK home video release. Though weirdly, AL did release it in France.
It'd be nice if AL could release Re: Cutie Honey in the UK, though I wonder what the age rating would be. To me it seems more a 15 than an 18, but given the BBFC's views on nudity I'm not sure.
Any news regarding Blue Giant's theatrical release? Is it the corrected home video master? When will tickets go on sale? It's two weeks till its out and nothing.
Yeah I think it would be best shown as a double bill, similar to what happened with screenings of Nikuko which also featured a twenty minute short film.
I wonder when Garden of Remembrance will show in UK cinemas? Given the short length it seems like it would bode with as a bonus short occupying a feature film.
Weathering With You is Worse if You Read it as a Climate Change Analogy This essay from frogkun does a pretty good analysis of that angle imo. While I can understand why someone could take it as a "climate change metaphor" it is far more flimsy when taken as such. I do like the themes in WWY...
