    What Games Are You Playing?

Gah, well that's the last time I order something direct from the Square Enix online store. Final Fantasy XV didn't arrive today. Why they decided to trust the Deluxe Edition with bog standard Royal Mail is beyond me. Been playing the single player campaign for Titanfall 2. Really quite...

Makoto Shinkai's Your Name (Kimi no Na wa.) popped up on UK Theatrical Screens for 24th November

I'll be going to the screening at Westfield Stratford on Thursday. It now seems to have switched from a sub showing to a dub showing for some reason. I don't mind that, but I did book the subbed version specifically for my friend so it's a bit annoying.

DreamWorks' Ghost in the Shell Slated For April 2017

Loved that live performance. Kenji Kawai's score was one of the best things about the 1995 film, glad this one is paying homage to it.

DreamWorks' Ghost in the Shell Slated For April 2017

Full trailer is out. Visuals seem on point at least. Will reserve judgement until the final film. As someone who thinks Stand Alone Complex is far superior to the Mamoru Oshii movie, I hope this takes some cues from the former too.

What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Well observed! The Premium OVA collection is indeed the only thing I have missing. It's a shame it was never included in either Funi's or AL's UEs. EDIT: This was bugging me. Spotted a used copy on Amazon UK for £5.99 and shipping. Bought it for completions sake. I'll update this picture once...

What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Already posted my pic of the FMA UE in the AL thread, so here's my whole FMA collection instead.

UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Jesus Christ Anime Limited. You've outdone yourself with the FMA UE. This gate is officially the craziest thing in my Blu-ray collection now. Really impressed with the build quality. Here it is in comparison with the Funi one, as I am crazy enough to own both. Funimation's book wins for the...

Overseas Upcoming Non-UK Anime BD/DVD Artwork

Gorgeous looking release for a lovely film. There was a Q+A with Michael Dudok de Wit after the BFI London Film Festival screening I went to, where it was mentioned that Studio Canal would release it in the UK some time in 2017.

UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

The full email for context: I'd guess there must have been a minor issue with the delivery of the stock of the UE itself as well. Maybe they need to sort out the logistics of shipping such a bulky set? Looking again, it does say 'up to 2 weeks', so it could just be a couple of days for the...

UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

I got a similar email from Zavvi. They say FMA UE will be out on the 14th November, with the personalised certificate following two weeks later. Weirdly I wouldn't mind another 2 week delay so that it lines up with my next pay day!

What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Gah, Royal Mail failed to deliver my copy of Outlaw Star. The sorting office is such a pain for me to get to.

Make that three. Well that's a pleasant surprise. I sold my old Beez boxset at the weekend. Looking forward to seeing how Outlaw Star looks in glorious HD.

UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Agreed on the text based extras. The extras on disc that I always value are the commentaries, documentaries and deleted scenes - the behind the scenes stuff. That's not a common thing for anime (and becoming depressingly less common for mainstream releases too) , so interviews and essays are as...

MCM London Comic Con - October 2016 News Thread

Great news about Silver Spoon! It's a wonderful series. Hoping for a Blu-ray. I find it astonishing that the manga remains unlicensed though.

Well we asked for Evangelion, and we got Evangelion, even if it's not the Evangelion I was hoping for :p Still time this weekend though!

Eureka Entertainment to release Osamu Tezuka's Metropolis

I'm quite fond of this film. Steel looks sweet. Will complement my steel of Fritz Lang's Metropolis nicely.

Autumn 2016 Legal Anime Streaming Thread: The Sequel Season

ANN reporting that Daisuki's territories for its Dragon Ball Super stream include the UK. I keep on forgetting that Daisuki exists, but at least we can watch it. I will continue to wait for a dub to materialise, as DB is one of those shows I prefer to watch dubbed for nostalgia.

Overseas Upcoming Non-UK Anime BD/DVD Artwork

I'm seeing The Red Turtle at the BFI film festival on Wednesday night. Really looking forward to it.

    General anime thoughts/discussion thread.

Yeah, Prime Video is quite disappointing for anime. Weirdly, there's a lot of random Manga shows available to actually purchase outright on Amazon Video, including stuff like Dirty Pair, Nadesico, Ninja Nonsense, Irresponsible Captain Tylor and the Rose of Versailles. Didn't even know Manga had...
