Balancing the number of totalitarian and populist states in the world to fair and honest democracies, Trump would get a landslide.
Rwanda’s recent election is a case in point, with the incumbent getting a greater than 99% landslide, beating Saddam Hussein’s final election performance...
The site has been back to normal over the past couple of days. I don’t know if someone flicked a switch, or if the server sneezed itself back to normal, but thanks.
Don't yet have a UHD player or 4k TV.
Anecdotally, one or two UHDs have been region restricted

Actually more than just one or two, and for this forum, notably GKids 4k releases of Weathering With You is restricted to US/Canada
I know how that feels. When you have a few thousand Region B discs, it's hard to justify getting even more releases I have no room for. Back when BD/DVD combo releases were a thing for mainstream companies (especially Funimation), I bought a fair few shows that I really wanted, even if I could...
I‘ve noticed since yesterday that the site is having issues. The pages hang for tens or thirty seconds before loading, a couple of times they just didn’t, and I had to refresh twice, and today, half the user avatars didn’t load.
Yesterday, I put it down to my laptop updating Windows in the...
Anyone remember Manga Entertainment's first few releases of Naruto. Authored in-house, they set a low bar for AL to aspire to. The one where 'sensei' is written as 'sensi' throughout. The summer everyone joked about Naruto having a weed habit.
Two thing I notice.
With the standard RRP exactly half the price of the Collector's, £50 to £99, and containing half the content, it's not at all worth getting the standards. You get all the same content, with more artwork in the packaging, and for what it's worth, a booklet.
They're authoring...
I got the OVAs and the five movies that MVM released here on DVD, and eventually imported Beautiful Dreamer on DVD from Discotek. And I've never felt the urge to get the TV series.
They're both standard releases, so unless the discs have been reauthored, the only difference will be the sleeve art.
Noticed that only the MVM version is listed at AL. I reviewed the DVD version, and never felt the need to get the Blu-ray, but of you like videogame adaptations like the Persona...
I was interested in the Macross release, I'm a sucker for all the content on disc and as apparently the OVA dubs are exclusive to the UE...
But then I saw that price... and I saw that the Farscape Blu-rays are getting a re-release this summer, with The Peacekeeper Wars included for the first...
My problem with EEAAO is that the US disc is Region A locked. Apparently there is a whole lot of Mandarin dialogue that needs English subtitles, which means the European BD releases are out. I found an Australian Region B disc, which is out of stock in Amazon.au, while good old JBHiFi no longer...
The Blu-ray is included with the UK UHD of True Lies which is why I got it. I don't have a UHD player, but according to the Blu-ray forums, the Blu-ray is the more watchable disc of the two. Still, Jim Cameron being revisionist, does mean that it's still been AI DNR'd to plasticity (especially...
And I'm buying it again. 2 sets of check discs, DVD and BD, the US Media Blaster DVD boxset, with its work of art jewel cases and teeny little booklets, and now the UK retail BD. I just love this show; I think it was the last time that Kenji Kamiyama approached perfection.
