More often than not I tend to prefer hardback simply because the soft ones tend to get creases in their spines when you open them up too much which isn't nice. I can't say if the AL booklets/books are like that though since I haven't dared to test it on them.

You'll be getting the covers from both of the individual releases with this.
I'd say that the DEEN adaptions should be presented as optional as they spoil some of the other routes in their questionable mix of content.
If all the Heaven's Feel movies were out today, the watch order would be DEEN's Fate/Stay Night (optional) -> Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works...
