Overseas Upcoming Non-UK Anime BD/DVD Artwork

With the exception of Denkigai (which I've heard uses the JP materials), Justin does all their video encoding. Some titles like Rokka suffer from his old colour problem though, and if Jigen's Gravestone is anything to go by (which was awful, awful, awful) - could potentially look pretty rough...

UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

Having just tested a bunch of Sentai Geolocked titles on my Xbone, it seems to be early Geolocked titles which cause problems. Just for transparency sake I tested the following Geolocked discs. PASS - Ao Haru Ride - Beyond the Boundary - Children Who Chase Lost Voice (2016 Re-author) - Gekkan...

UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Considering the show was animated digitally, even if they were to do another upscale it wouldn't be much, if at all better than the current one. The only way to improve it is if they still have the original assets and were to pull an Aniplex - paying crazy money to recomposite the entire show at...

I mentioned this about a week and a half ago. Prince Charles Cinema also lists a showing of Paprika on the 11th June among dates for the others mentioned.

Added some things. May be adding more stuff over the next few days.

UK Anime Distributor Crunchyroll/Funimation/Manga UK Discussion Thread

FYI, Discotek recently released the film on Blu-ray and it's actually the best release of the film going. Looks as good as the Japanese BD and has three Lossless audio tracks (EN 2.0 & JP 4.0/2.0) versus the two lossy tracks on the JP BD (EN 2.0 and JP 4.0). Given that the disc itself was...

In regards to the video - It's not a massive deal. Whilst it is very noticeable and I'd definitely rather it wasn't there, it is only around 30 seconds of it. Speaking as someone who's a big supporter of Anime Limited though, I do still feel the need to warn that there is a more pressing issue...

Defective or Disappointing UK Anime Discs

It does sound as you say, very much off, and is limited to mainly indoor school scenes from the little I've listened to. Unfortunately this is how the audio was mixed/recorded for the Japanese release and thus isn't technically a defect on ALs part. It can be pretty bad in some scenes though...

UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

I'm still torn on which edition to get. US release has the OST, Manga and most importantly for me, the Japanese video files. UK release will be cheaper and have a bigger booklet, but loses out in the OST, Manga and Video department. If some sort of wizardry could be arranged like it appears to...

The Anime/Manga I Bought Today Was...

FYI it's been available (and most likely cheaper) from Amazon Japan for almost a month now. Seeing as I rarely post here as of late I may as well update with recent orders. Amazon UK - Gundam Reconguista in G Anime Limited Shop - Evangelion 1.11 CE - Claymore CE - Samurai Flamenco Part 2 CE...

UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

That's correct. The BD Box has the episode on 4 discs though. Ignoring the AU release as I know nothing about it you have: - JP Singles - Sub only, 9 discs. No OP/ED lyrics. - JP BD Box - Sub and Dub, 4 BD50 discs for episodes and many, many more of extras (BDs and CDs), No OP/ED Lyrics. No...

UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Hey! I never said I'd finance purchases. I was merely stating that it was a valid alternative. It's NOT the same discs as the UK release. I actually had the first two parts back in the day and it was ENG/JAP only, most likely because Kaze opted to shove 7 episodes on a BD25. I'll echo the...

Seeing as Grav asked whether there was updates to certain titles, has there been any movement on Sound Euphonium at all? Whether it be release date/window or even release format (singles set/part/extras). Absolutely love love love the show and I'm super eager to purchase the series to the point...

Defective or Disappointing UK Anime Discs

I noticed this way back when Sentai's BD was initially released. Whilst nowhere near as severe, the Japanese BD too exhibits glitches in the exact same frames in the form of a Black dot. No idea if it was present on the streams. Makes me wonder if they tried patching the dot out by using...

MCM London Comic Con - October 2016 News Thread

Unfortunately, speaking to Andrew it's definitely not happening. It's quite understandably too late for Anthem of the Heart in Cinemas considering it's been available on BD (and thus online) since early this year.

Also on Death Note - Jerome stated they're not able to use Viz's disc masters hence why this is their own work. Whilst it wasn't technically a reply, I did ask whether all the different audio and subtitle tracks on Viz's release were the reason why, to which my tweet was favourited. (English...

The News Thread (for news that does not need a thread)

I can't personally imagine there'd be a massive difference resolution wise. Whilst it's certainly done at a much higher resolution that other recent Gundam, I'd hesitate to even say Thunderbolt was animated at native 1080p let alone anything above that. It lacks the sharpness of other 1080p...
