I have an old Pioneer/Geneon Sailor Moon S dvd that has a really odd problem-about 12 1/2 minutes into the 1st episode the picture goes all jaggy and rainbow colored blocks appear and after 2 seconds it goes back to normal. No surface defects are apparent, it does it on every player I've got...

I have been royally screwed by a seller on ebay a number of years with no recourse. And amazon-don't even get me started.......!! I find that remote buying of anime sets can be very disappointing when youi receive damaged goods and no matter how much one complains nothing is done.

I have a s**tload of blurays and I've never had a single problem with any of them. Any problems that I had were the fault of the bluray player. BTW-a CR2032 lithium coin cell is extremely cheap to replace.

Ebay and amazon-what do they have in common? The sellers like to **** over potential buyers and **** all over them. I get my anime used locally off of craigslist and othe places but never ever from the afore mentioned websites.

The only thing that was playing at my local theater was Promar, I saw it a few years ago and didn't like it at all so hard pass on it.

In-Spectre-pretty damn good-7 out of 10. I do have to say that the series is quite pedantic and talky a lot of the time, though.

I've been listening to a lot of Yuki Kajiura's stuff recently-another relatively unknown composer is Tamiya Terashima who did the fantastic ost for Maho Shoujo Tai Arusu (Magical Girl Squad Alice).

Princess Principal-this series is an absolute blast from beginning to end, closest thing I've watched to it is Read Or Die-8 1/2 points out of 10.

On a related subject-has anybody visited either of the atomic bomb museums in Japan? I visited the one in Nagasaki and it was a very somber and sobering experience, if I hadn't been anti-nuke before I did I sure as **** would've been after.
