Following today's Weathering With You announcement, Anime Limited have confirmed that they're completing their Makoto Shinkai collection by bringing two of the director's previous films back to the UK market: 5 Centimeters per Second, and Children Who Chase Lost Voices!

Showcase at Home, a digital storefront by the cinema chain of the same name, has added a wealth of anime films for rent and purchase, including PROMARE, Your Name, Maquia and more!

The only other time I've had an order processed by MVM arrive damaged was my SSSS.GRIDMAN Collector's Edition, and they were quick to sort out a replacement when I contacted them. In that instance, I put the blame on Manga UK's design of the release - which had a flimsy box of extras attached to...
@Buzzkillington Yeah, I did debate whether to reach out to AL regarding a replacement, given that it's a £115 set, but given how quickly it sold out and how widespread these minor issues seem to be... thought it might be too nitpicky.
I wonder if these issues might be due to the box itself...
Revolutionary Girl Utena, + Elfen Lied manga omnibus vol. 1. Hilariously, Utena has the old 12 sticker on the shrinkwrap, but the info sheet says it's a 15. My Utena set came with a ding in one of the corners, which fortunately isn't too noticeable from a reasonable distance. The info sheet does...
With her latest film A Whisker Away landing on Netflix and Anthem of the Heart arriving on Screen Anime, we look back at the modern classic that arguably made Mari Okada's name: the emotional "Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day" to ask, was it really worth crying over?

With the Screen Anime discount, if you pre-order 1 early bird each month (at their usual price of £34.99), you'd make back the £39.98 annual membership fee. If you order more though, you'll save more. It is worth mentioning though, that you access to a virtual film festival too :p
With the .hack//SIGN original soundtrack being added to Spotify recently, as well as the recently announced license of Planetes, I wonder if there might be an appetite for the return of a certain other Beez title...
So, I watched all of Saturday's panels barring the One Piece one, and on the Sunday watched the Jerome-Andrew one, Groundworks, and Eizouken re-do (I wanted to watch the Polygon Pictures ones, but had to fit in a dog walk once it started to cool down). Here's just notes in bullet points:
I...
As mentioned on the stream now, the Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! panel will be repeated tomorrow night at 10pm, given the issues with tonight's stream.
It's... so obvious that this Crunchyroll panel was made with an American audience in mind. It's too... peppy.
There has been some crossover between Aniplex USA and Funimation in North America though, like the Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl streaming and their Demon Slayer home ent...
Well, the assumption was that Manga UK would get Demon Slayer due to Aniplex being part of the Sony family, and Funimation having the Standard Definition releases in the US. So, how Aniplex licenses fit into that Sony conglomerate, is very interesting to slowly figure out...
A part of me interested in Witch Hunter Robin, but it's been so long that I can't remember if that show is any good or not.
But yes, a Sound of the Sky blu-ray would be incredible.
Really surprised to see Demon Slayer picked up - I was honestly expecting that to go to Manga UK. Neon Genesis Evangelion will also naturally be in my collection next year.
Biggest surprise for me though? Planetes. Watched it back on AnimeCentral years ago, and I've been interested in owning it...
Wakamin wasn't really Anime Limited's though was it? I think Anime Limited were just a partner for an attempted British expansion, three years after they started their first simulcast in France.
It will be on Twitter! Basically, everyone uses the hashtag #ScreenAnimeParty , so you can either follow the hashtag itself and see everyone talking about it, or just the people you follow on your feed - up to you.
