Also requires you to have ordered part 1 too. I do kind of get the deal being aimed at people with existing orders. You're more likely to but part 2 only if you bought part 1 anyway. But needing that and a membership deal to get to the same price as another site is an odd move to be sure.

Everyone has those series. Some you just want to secure early and if the price is a bit cheaper elsewhere later on you just take the loss. Others you'll hold out for that great deal.

I am but they seem to be shipping a lot of stuff at the moment so may be it's done in batches. Naruto, Bleach TYBW, and Arcane at least all went around the same time as Bleach.

I can't remember if Viz was the small stall of volume 1s or if that was Forbidden Planet. It'd be terrible losing Travelling Man or ones like YenPress as they have most of the manga there, especially for a range of titles. Square Enix has a decent manga presence too usually.

Which is definitely a shame in some regards. The more tagged in, the more it has to be with likely the same space. The stuff being sold either needs to draw in the niche audience well or appeal to so many different areas and thus become very generic.

Exactly this. It took a few MCMs just to get a large amount of manga back. They obviously want to increase its profile as a result.

That's the most common theory out there. X number of passes and likely a rule where Y number must go to EGX related people.

I've heard a lot of people have struggled with press passes this time. Sucks to hear it happen.
