MCM London Comic Con October 2015 Announcements

Re: MCM Comic Con October 2015 Announcements - Next: Sunrise Panel 12:00pm this Sunday The show tanked horribly in japan. I followed the simulcast as I enjoyed the manga and the -very- low sales didn't impress me. The first episode is original content like GRZ but it's badly executed and it is...

UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

A LE was available 1-2 years ago but it's now OOP. It was a big A3 size set with the OST + the films.

    Upcoming UK Anime DVD Artwork!

The french boxset isn't even from the french branch, they just rebranded the italian release. Dynit logo appears under the o-card. (And no wonder why this release is good compared to the others).

    Upcoming UK Anime DVD Artwork!

It doesn't match for TSR. FUNi uses 2BD50 while AL will be 1BD50 + 1BD25.

    Bigger doesn't mean better.

JoJo is DVD only + the set is cheap & ugly (3 DVDs for a 26eps show). It won't be backimported/harm the japanese sales.

They are releasing it but the format of 2 boxsets for one cour is something that came from licensor. I think it's their first time doing that since they gave up (as well as the other distributors) on releasing those 4eps per DVD boxset.

You can thank Warner Bros. Japan for the release format.

Yeah it's a bare bone release. The collector edition is long OOP and afaik NBCUni doesn't reprint their collector boxsets.

Madman Ent. (Australian distributor) have licensed Kuroko's Basketball! & More

I thought khara would start selling it to international distributors only after the last film? (that's what they said previously).

Blood Lad and Fate/kaleid were obligatory sold together (as a pack) by Kadokawa in Europe, unlike the next seasons. It's very likely it that the uk rights landed in sentai's hands for season 2 & 3 (or still available).

    Upcoming Overseas Anime DVD Artwork

It contains 2x single layer blu-rays. It's pretty much as bad as the french Kazhi Chunibyo release (which has one dual layer BD), video quality wise.

Again those horrible rectangles that ruins the artwork :/.

Anime Limited to release Sword Art Online II

Isn't it obvious…? I think ( ) SAO is a terrible show and I don't understand how people can enjoy it. I know there are colours and tastes but still, i'm having an hard time believing it.

Anime Limited to release Sword Art Online II

It's just the usual generic tasteless character design and art direction. There's really nothing of interest in it. There's just no appeal to it.

FMP Trilogy CE SRP is 70€ in France (and it's currently at 50€ on amazon). I know a licence price vary between countries but the double in UK (while anime is more expensive in france)? Seems pretty odd.

The eyepatch is actually from Sentai in the french release, there's their logo on the cardboard holding it.

    Manga Entertaiment have Terra-formars

No, it's definitely not occasional. Cutting this 13eps show in 2 parts must have been a release format imposed by the japanese to the local distributors, at least in Europe.
