I’ve already got BRs like Mardock trilogy, so unless there’s some incentive or upgrade, why replace the existing? Admittedly Mardock trilogy is three cases in a card outer, so it wouldn’t be hard to make a nicer package.
Conversely, the existing Flip Flappers CE is a nice set, that I can’t see...
They (AL) did release standards (UK), so the three of those are effectively 3/5ths the size of the outer-boxed set (or 2/3rds the size of the individual CEs.
Not to try to criticise your specific desire, but if that’s insufficient, you could simply relocate the UK standard version discs and...
Remind me; is the (usual) AnimeUnLimited 15% during promotions applicable to early bird items? Or the standard 10% sale code for non-members?
I think someone said there was a sale starting 1st August? If we expect the event to be a little underwhelming, then that’s a use to get a few more...
Just have to agree with both these posts; already got the LE last time round (DotW), and it’s a really nice series. Wouldn’t have thought there would be any LEs left.
Another repeat also means that it’s yet another week without my fix, and my wallet is starting to get a bit uppity.
Was there a VvV Blu ray or CE?
I recall getting the DVD (clear case) set in the 2022 Xmas MVM bundle (effectively £6), and think they were selling them off in some sale later.
Not quite DOTW, but the DVD has at least been on sale.
Although offering them in order would be the logical way, the conspiracy theorist in me would suggest that the 2 then 3 (then 1) sequence has some purchasing / profit potential.
People ordering the s2 DOTW are likely to want s1 to watch first (even if not ordering direct, that creates demand...
It seems I’ve already got a copy of Moribito.
My AoL history shows I bought it back in 2022 for the same price, and haven’t got round to even taking out of shrink wrap yet.
I liked it - I was tempted to join in with Komari plush-making while watching it.
Hmm. I haven’t seen S2 either. I guess best practice would be to put on hold too.
I love that little series.
But obviously that means I already have this DotW.
I did also pick up the individual JP discs with their prints of character clothing on the transparent outers.
But I need a CE. 😞
Mine was waiting for me when I got back today. The last ones were progressively more expedited too (the polar opposite to AtA!)
I’ve no idea what it is, but that’s why I ordered it.
They had a DOTW for the standard edition a few weeks back. Much as I like CEs, I can’t say that an art box and art cards are worth £15 (or more after EB).
That said; I’ve never seen the series, so my expectations are based on the description of Bebop samurai set to bad-guy music.
I don’t know...
The series full of sunshine and flowers. 😶
It is one of those essential ‘crafted and structured fable’ types that I do particularly like, but I’ve already got it twice over - otherwise I’d buy it again.
They do have a bit of small print about ‘must have accepts marketing turned on’ with each discount email they send out, so I assume there’s a setting in peoples accounts somewhere that might be worth toggling?
I can certainly say that it’s been a minimum of £50 for at least a couple of years now, for any sale (Xmas, spring, summer…) - for the standard newsletter codes.
(un)limited OTOH has never had a minimum spend for the 15%
Its not normally a problem for me, as I tend to just dump half the sale...
I thought they were supposed to be going back to digipaks? What happened to that? Still the best option IMHO.
That said; I would appreciate the extra efficiency of thinner cases when they’re in an outer box (plus booklet and such): A 15mm Amaray holding just a disc or two doesn’t really add any...
