UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

I wonder what Anime Limited's plans are for New Years Day (I remember reading about it on the December blog update). I guess those "mystery discount vouchers" - which are offered to everyone who purchase a set during deals of Christmas promotion - will be sent out when people are back in the...

    US Region Free Blu-rays

Some shows are licensed for release in countries which are Region B, so as a result they 'dual-code' their discs to work in both the US and that Region B country.

Defective or Disappointing UK Anime Discs

Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari were Blu-ray only; but the later instalments of Monogatari (starting with Nekomonogatari) were Blu-ray and DVD combo pack. Interestingly the Australian release of Nisemonogatari (Complete Series) had a production error on the spine; whereby it said "3 Discs" as...

Defective or Disappointing UK Anime Discs

The upcoming One Piece - Movie 8 Blu-ray does not contain the 5.1 English Audio which was present in the American release of the film; the only audio options are LPCM 2.0 in English and Japanese. Furthermore the English subtitles are grey (similar to recent MangaUK Blu-ray releases) and there...

Anime That is Cut in the UK: The Definitive Thread

I'm interested to know which episode, and at what point, this was cut from. I remember watching Battle Girls subbed shortly after it aired in Japan and I can't remember anything 'that bad'.

UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

I had a similar issue when paying via paypal; i.e. added to cart, logged in, then 2 were in my cart during Paypal checkout. Mine says "payment pending / authorised" - just guess we got to wait for Anime Limited to 'accept' the payment xD

UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Well you could just login to zavvi and check your order; if it says "Awaiting Stock Pick" or "Awaiting Dispatch" it hasn't been dispatched yet.

UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

What's Madman Entertainment's store like (i.e. for delivery to the UK) as I've always been interested in ordering directly from them but didn't want to get hit by customs etc.

The News Thread (for news that does not need a thread)

The £16.99 price tag at Zavvi has been there for awhile (I kept mentioning on @AnimeBlurayUK) as it was part of their Mega-Monday promotion. Anyway "Awaiting Stock from Supplier" means that its currently out of stock and on back-order from the supplier, so as soon as they receive stock from the...

UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

Yep it's definitely worth the purchase. The film is actually quite interesting as the first half of the film recaps the first 5 or so episodes of the series, i.e. introducing the characters, the teams and the whole point of HERO TV and then the second half of the film focuses on an independent...

UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

I've never actually used RightStuf (due to the fact you have to send card details off on your first order); anyone know what they are like with postage costs and such?

Defective or Disappointing UK Anime Discs

Yep it's Nekomonogatari White... as far as I remember that's the only subtitle that was missing from the release; nothing major but it does disrupt a rather comical storyline.

Upcoming MangaUK Blu-Ray Releases Moved To DVD-Only

Some of their DVD Releases (namely Devil is a Part-Timer and Attack on Titan - Part 2) suffered from the same issues (if not more) as the Blu-ray releases. I.E. Devil is a Part Timer had some 'questionable' audio quality that, in reality, made the product defective. It's an odd choice that they...

Cardcaptor Sakura - All 18 Volumes (Region 1 DVD)

Yea; some people are still listing them on eBay for £100 + Interestingly I prefer these DVD's to the newer NIS America ones, mainly due to the packaging artwork and logo design (etc).

    US Region Free Blu-rays

Probably a safe bet that Chaos;Head and Fairy Tail Collection 3 would region b compatible (seeing as the original versions were) I assume Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke and The Wind Rises will be region b compatible as well; but that's judging from what ive seen/heard of past ghibli...

Cardcaptor Sakura - All 18 Volumes (Region 1 DVD)

Since I've updated to the Blu-ray version of Card Captor Sakura I've decided to sell of my original 'Region 1' Nelvena DVD releases. All 18 Volumes are in good condition (Volume 13 is sealed) and include their original inserts / promo cards. This is the 'original' uncut US Release, and as such...
