Re: [UK Anime Distributor] Manga Entertainment Discussion Th
I was JUST about to say I'm sure someone will prove me wrong (and then this post appears) xD
Bah; gutted that Familiar of Zero is pink; was hoping the main cover would be blue/dark coloured like Season 1 - plus not to mention the spine being pink is going to ruin continuity on the shelf =(
I've mentioned it previously on twitter but AllYourMusic and Supermart_USA via Amazon UK Marketplace have a variety of Anime (US Imports) listed at various prices.
From what I can gather they are sent from the UK - well the two items I ordered were at least - and postage is £1.26 per item. I...
For anyone still wanting to pick-up Gundam Unicorn then it may be worth checking out Amazon.fr as they are selling most instalments (including Volume 7) for around the £50 mark; Volume 1 is only £22 including postage.
It may be Amazon France but the stock is the European version (English covers...
Just noticed the video is of the DVD version (and not the Blu-ray version)...but my point still stands; the UK Blu-ray release is pretty much the same as the US Blu-ray (with the exception of animatsu logo slapped on at the start).
in regards to MangaUK's authoring tools i have no idea what...
It's basically Sentai Filmworks original Blu-ray release with the Animatsu logo slapped on the start; but yea its nice to know that Animatsu will be using outside sources (such as Hanabee/Sentai) rather than an internal company such as MangaUK's new authoring tools.
Indeed; unlike other MVM/Sentai titles when selecting individual episodes it shows the length of the complete disc rather than that particular episode (and I wasn't in the mood try work out what the individual episode time-stamp was).
Whats EzyDVD like with customs?
I will point out one thing though; if it's a Madman Entertainment title it may be worth checking out Madman's own store to compare prices as it may work out cheaper. Also the price listed on Madman's website isn't the price you pay (Especially if you're from the...
Ok; so I rented the 'retail' release of Battle Girls: Time Paradox so that I could compare it with the Sample/Check Discs sent out to reviewers to see what was actually cut from the series. (it was bugging me).
Turns out the 8-second cut is indeed made during the Bathhouse sequence of Episode 3...
When MVM have to design their own artwork the back-cover (and sometimes the front) always seem quite amateurish; i.e. white text on artwork.
Only when they use pre-arranged packaging (such as those from Hanabee, Sentai or FUNimation) does it actually look nice.
Might be cheaper to just import a US PS3; its what I did several years ago (I picked up an American 60GB PS3 for £100 including shipping - even came with 2 PS3 Games).
The 2007 CGI film (subtitled EX Machina) can be picked up fromCEX for £6.50 (including postage).
In terms of the 2004 CGI Film (which was just labelled Appleseed and came out on DVD and UMD) then I don't think a UK Blu-ray exists.
Judging from the pictures the discs look exactly the same as the individual season sets; so they've probably just re-packaged the discs into a complete set (a bit like how Manga and FUNimation do when release complete season sets).
In other words their is a high chance of the discs being region...
K-ON! Season 2 will never go on sale as part of Anime-On-Line's DOTW... firstly because its not even out and more importantly its not a MangaUK title (only MVM titles go on offer as part of DOTW as MVM owns Anime-On-Line store).
In regards to Season 3 & 4 of Ikki Tousen then that's not going to...
Yea; it was an error on their part and as a result Film4 should be showing the English Dub version of The Wind Rises on Friday 13th February 2015 (at 6:25pm if I remember correctly).
Re: [UK Anime Distributor] Manga Entertainment Discussion Th
Most Sentai releases nowadays only use 1 BD 50GB disc; for instance A-Channel (which was released two weeks ago) has the entire series on a signal Blu-ray disc - the second disc is just for the extra features.
I remember Sentai...
A-Channel - The Complete Collection is technically Region Locked; but here is a rundown of what I've tried.
It does not work on Region B players (default settings) and it does not work on Xbox One (default settings).
It does work on PS3 and PS4 consoles (default settings).
None of my Blu-ray...
