Agreed and I'd also add that means testing means bureaucracy which costs money from the public purse too. I agree with @ayase that the meanness of the current system to younger claimants in particular is morally reprehensible,

I'll be honest, I found Patlabor TV overly dull and dry and dropped it partway through - FWIW I loved the first two movies (the Manga UK dubs are fab), I enjoyed the first OVA series, and I also really enjoyed some of the other vintage anime classic TV series from the 80s and thereabouts (Touch...

SCOTLAND LOVES ANIME FESTIVAL CELEBRATES 15TH ANNIVERSARY WITH LONDON EXPANSION

The Castle of Cagliostro I would say is still very enjoyable even if you have not seen any other Lupin before, it was one of the first anime films I saw about 20 years ago and I had a lot of fun with it :)

Confuscianism? 🤔 I get your point, but at the same time some people genuinely don't want -and likely cannot safely have- children, such as me. I honestly cannot emphasise how much the thought of wiping asses and cleaning up vomit makes me want to throw up myself, and people like Vance don't...

    Yuri License Announcements

I'm inclined to agree with you - I don't buy or read a lot of yuri or yaoi (some but not a lot of both) but I don't really believe that the paying audience for yuri is that small, particularly when you factor in combined sales to queer people and other demographics - it's not even as though only...

UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Do we know what's included on the CDs? As in, do we get the first season OST as well as the second (as I'm not aware of it having been included in the previous S1 CEs?) Are these full OSTs or CD singles for the OPs and EDs? Or is it both as in full OST with OP/ED included? :)

The second picture I did at my mum's, with alcohol markers (mixture of Sharpies and cheap double-enders from a Chinese brand selling on Amazon), was considering doing a blue and green background but it's a lot of effort and I think it looks nice as is :)

In & Out (1997) (REWATCH) - With Friend A, we both really enjoyed this, he hadn't seen it before, and it holds up really well with it's kind approach to people shining through some slightly dated elements, there's a number of very funny moments and the scene at the end is brilliant! Frank Oz is...
