I had Chibi Amaterasu for far too long, i've switched to one of the Durarara chatroom icons as I think they're nice and simple, yet with a bit of character!
Well, 2022 has started with an impromptu anime purchase while making my way to see the family for new year.
Just saw season 1 of Attack on Titan in store in CeX for relatively cheap and have had the urge to rewatch it all, so grabbed it.
what's everyones GOTY for 2021? I havent done a huge amount of "new" gaming this year but played enough.
For me it's between:
Psychonauts 2 (XSX)
Chicory (PS5)
Resident Evil Village (XSX)
Metroid Dread (NSW)
If I had to choose i'd say it's Psychonauts 2 just for the complete, wholesome...
man, really puts things in to perspective, and yet another reason why I am grateful for the NHS. Those medical bills are ridiculous!
@Girls with Guns hope 2022 is good for you!
Just dropped £1000 on a travel card for the next year. Sad times.
For the past 10 years it used to come out of my pay packet monthly so barely noticed it. Scheme was cancelled this year so having to do it myself now.
Depressing end to the year, ha.
Cheers for that @NormanicGrav Eureka, Arrow and 88 Films have released some fantastic stuff over the years, looking forward to 2022 continuing this.
I think you're missing Dreadnaught from the Eureka section, can't wait for that myself.
Recently fell back in to anime thanks to the following:
The Disastrous Life of Saiki K / Reawakened (rewatch) - watched this as and when Netflix added it over the years, and loved the cast and the antics. Probably one of my favourite comedy anime. The psychic powers and the desire to keep them...
Got a lot of Amazon vouchers for Christmas, pumped some of them into these two for £50.
No idea what the first series is like but it sounds fun, the other (Star Blazers) I've wanted to watch for ages.
Cheers. Was looking into gundam and remembered a lot of the series i am interested in (00, Turn A, Iron Blooded Orphans) were BOGOF in December, so part of me wants to just wait for offers on them again!
So, bit soon to be talking about this seeing as the 12 days of Christmas one only just finished, but how often do sales on their website take place?
Is it Christmas only?
My (likely) final purchases of the year turned up today, plus i added Escaflowne Collectors Edition and Durarara Shou as they turned up last week and i didn't add them here!
Durarara Ketsu was from CeX and thankfully is in great condition. Just need Ten now.
Yeah it does mean having multiple machines in use, but my media cabinet is big enough for my needs.
NTSC PS3 just uses a normal uk PS power cable that will cost a few quid, no Stepdown converters needed (unlike in the bad old days!)
It literally is just a Blu-ray player for me. Could even get...
Ever since my multi region Blu-ray player died i have owned a slim NTSC ps3 for my region A Blu-ray needs, got it for around £50 iirc. I used my series x for everything that.
My 12yo niece tested positive for covid yesterday. Christmas is cancelled for the family as her, my sister and her other two kids won't be able to visit my mom, and Christmas now (for me) is only for seeing my family and giving the kids gifts so not seeing them all will be a killer.
It sucks...
Not anime, but my recent Vinegar Syndrome Black Friday sale order arrived today. Vinegar Syndrome deal with cult films between the 60s and 00s that may never have had quality releases before, especially on Blu-ray. They're some of my favourite releases as the slipcovers are generally fantastic...
Excuse the poor quality but here are my 2021 asian cinema additions. Mostly new releases but been catching up on some back catalogue stuff as well:
Probably totals around 75% of my Asian cinema stuff, rest i own i mostly got last year and previous years (criterion stuff, more arrow etc)
Been...
I have an order that shows as "partial" and the item in question (nadesico tv) shows as still to be shipped.
Order 3 of my sale has now shipped, Durarara should be here for Christmas break :)
