I've started playing Amnesia (the otome game) as I noticed it was free on PS Plus a little while back - it seems to have more multiple choice options than most VNs I've played in the past, so pretty engaging so far.
I think Switzerland misses out on a lot of the simulcast rights CR has for other countries, for some reason. Probably because it has both French and German speaking - so other licensors who grab 'French language rights / German language rights' effectively mean CR loses out on both sides when it...
I'd take a book over artcards any day of the week.
If the price to the consumer ends up being somewhere around the £25 - £30 mark like SAO II was then suddenly that's a lot more appetising.
I have to admit, I'm yet to find another Warriors game that has as much content packed into it as the mainline Dynasty Warriors games too. The one I really wanted to play was the Gundam one - but that was PS3 only and never got a PS4 port.
Likewise - I don't really care how episodes are split on discs other than my own personal preference of the fewer discs, the better. Hence why getting a two cour show on three Blu-Rays (typically 9/8 eps on each discs) is my ideal. It means less having to change discs. And it probably makes for...
I guess at least there's a DVD edition too - not much use for us lot of course, but I suppose it at least means the title well end up selling well, like SAO II did.
But yeah, the BR is definitely too pricey for my tastes.
I'm guessing part 2 of Space Dandy didn't sell well enough to justify a standard edition of it. So they just skipped straight to a standard edition of the whole thing. Looking at Amazon, the Part 1 CE is pretty much sold out, whereas Part 2 CE has 7 left in stock (and more on order) suggesting...
Yeah that's a pretty bad case. For the most part though, it seems like they're able to gain access to clean assets to work from - and they reassemble from there.
That said, that case you linked to reminds me of some of the old Manga Collection DVDs that were basically just straight ports of the...
I'm super glad if Funi DVDs and BDs are being separated out - hopefully this brings the price on the BD editions down a bit. From what I gathered from the Amazon pre-orders / best-sellers page, the combo packs were bombing because they were way too pricey. By separating them out, both sides win...
Same, from getting used to watching CR I've grown accustomed to chunkier subs with thick black outlines. So now when I see slim subs they seem weird / harder to read for me. Likewise, yellow subs now make me think 'old fashioned' - a throwback to old DVDs.
Either way - whatever subs we have now...
Personally I prefer white subs, but I don't really mind too much either way.
It did make me laugh though when I looked at the Facebook comments around this and there were literally people from both sides going 'White subs - no buy!' and then 'yellow subs - no buy!'
Yup, in my experience, whenever I've been in a situation where I've met fans in real life - they've usually a) been much younger than me or b) been older or the same age - but with existing tight-knit friendship groups which makes it kind of hard to join in.
Yeah, it's an interesting question, and I think it might be an age dependent thing too. For me, there weren't many people with 'geek' interests near me locally, and I only really got into online 'geek' fandom at a very late stage - whereas I feel like that 16-20 sweet spot is when the whole...
One thing I've come to think more and more about fandom is that there's a clear divide between two very specific kinds of hardcore fandom.
On one hand you have what I suppose you'd call the 'collector' / 'academic' hardcore fan - the one that wants to acquire and consume as much of the medium...
All fair points - and obviously people have different priorities when it comes to their collections / purchases. Back in the day I was definitely a lot more perfectionist when it came to my collection - both in terms of quantity and quality, but as time went on, my attitude changed.
But I guess...
Yup - I just wanted to agree with the above re. positive attitude, but keeping quiet. Personally I loved the product, and it continues to bowl me over in terms of the level you guys go to address even small issues. Above and beyond.
I kind of feel like I'm increasingly in the minority of...
I'm firmly anti-Trump, but I do think this whole thing (even more obviously than Brexit) paints a fascinating case study of what happens when the people who 'write history' / commentate (ie. the largely left leaning audience of the media / Twitter) effectively 'lose'.
It basically exposes the...
It's kinda confusing that both versions of Marnie are still listed on Amazon. Only easy way to tell them apart is the release date. Looks like the replacement version is being sold for cheaper too.
